Our company history
1949
Pioneer company in maintenance and installation of cold rooms in the region.
1955
Production of refrigeration cabinets and ice machines begins.
1957
Founding of Frost-trol: Start of mass production of foodservice equipment.
1971
Inauguration of the Castellón de la Plana facilities, the first phase of which was extended in 1975 and the second in 1984.
1975
In 1975, the first refrigeration cabinets with remote control were commercialised, the current Supermarket line.
1986
Export activity begins: In the mid-1980s and after several decades of leadership in the Spanish market, it begins its internationalisation, consolidating its presence in European, Latin American and Middle Eastern markets, currently exporting to almost 40 countries.
2000
Thanks to the research work of our team, the patent for our cooling system NCA-System was born, which avoids cold aisles by reusing the heat of the cabinet to mitigate the cold effect.
2001
We consolidated our commitment to technological development by obtaining the ISO 9001 Certificate for quality management.
2006
We started the development of cabinets using CO2 as a refrigerant, a natural fluid with low environmental impact and which contributes to minimising the effects of global warming.
2009
Continuing the search for sustainable refrigeration solutions, R290 is introduced as a refrigerant in our Plug-in range.
2011
Launch of the complete frostCO2 range, a line of products designed exclusively for CO2 use.
2014
Frost-trol makes the first installation with the Waterloop System (H2OOP)
2015
We start our business in Latin America with the birth of Frost-trol Mexico.
2017
The first production line starts up at the new manufacturing plant in Cabanes. This same year we launched our Solid Lines range, based on the trend for straight lines and designed to be highly efficient and environmentally sustainable cabinets.
2018
Beginning the process of digitalisation and transformation to Industry 4.0.
2020
The process of transferring production activity to the new manufacturing plant in Cabanes is completed. We consolidate our environmental strategy by obtaining ISO 14001 certification.
